Accounts Assistant


To be a member of our accounts team reporting to the Accounts Office Manager.


 Job Specification


  • Process the weekly and monthly payroll using Mitrefinch TMS and Flexipay system and all other duties related to payroll - training provided.
  • Processing purchase invoices, including matching, batching and checking invoices to purchase orders and preparing payments.
  • Prepare cashbook and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Prepare and post journals and cashbook receipts and payments.
  • Prepare and post accrual and prepayment journals.
  • Management of the fixed asset register.
  • Review Aged Debtors report and contact customers for overdue payments.
  • Support of the Accounts Office Manager in matter of HR compliance.
  • Adhere to all internal processes and procedures for the department.
  • To work closely with all internal departments in order to build and retain effective long-term relationships
  • General accounts support.


Skills required


AAT Qualified

2 years’ experience in Finance

Computer literacy in Windows and MS Office 365.

It would be useful if the applicant has knowledge of the Manufacturing Industry.




Competitive dependent on experience.



4.6 weeks holiday per year plus Bank Holidays (Company shuts down over the Christmas break – you are expected to use your annual entitlement for this)


Hours are Monday to Thursday 9 am to 5.30pm and Friday 9 am to 4.30 pm.
